Fleas
Fleas are perhaps the most uncomfortable and irritating pests you may encounter.
Elimination of this pest requires adequate preparation before I do my thing, but the work is worth it.
Obviously, if there are pets in the home they need to be on a prescription flea control program. Next, vacuuming is essential to remove the flea eggs. This is because there is no material available that can chemically penetrate a flea egg. Without a thorough vacuuming to remove the eggs, fleas will emerge later after my treatment.
If your vacuum has a disposable bag, throw it out after you vacuum. If you have a canister vacuum cleaner put it outside and I can treat it when I visit. If you have outdoor animals that have shavings or hay in their bedding area now is the time to replace it so I can treat those as well before new bedding is added.
Toys and water bowls need to be put away as well as anything that obstructs treating the carpet or hard surface. Even under beds, the fleas will migrate to untreated areas.
Fish aquariums need to be covered with a damp blanket or towels and the filter turned off. People and pets cannot be in the house for two hours after the treatment.
This cleaning and vacuuming must be done before I can guarantee my treatment.
